  • The complex is located around 3.000m (10,925ft) a.s.l.  It is situated 150 km (93ml) from Santiago and 190 km (118ml) from Valparaiso through the way to Mendoza.   The route crosses the valley of the Andes. Portillo is one of the most famous Winter Resorts in South America and the only one that has been host to a World Skiing Championship in 1966.
    In their fields has beaten the world speed record in decline. In 1987 Prüfen Michael ran to 217 kph. Many great teams have trained for worldwide ski events in Portillo.Its environment is beautiful, surrounded by high mountain peaks, facing the Laguna del Inca, and is characterized by its “Powder Snow” in winter and spring.

  • A 60 km (37ml) from Santiago International Airport, in the midst of the most spectacular scenery of the Andes Mountains, lays the Valle Nevado center opened in 1988, with access to the largest skiable area in the Southern Hemisphere, for skiing and snowboarding.
    Skiing at Valle Nevado is the best quality of snow, thanks to its location on the southeast slope of the Cordillera de los Andes, and the height of 3,025 masl. (9924.540 ft)
    Valle Nevado is a center designed for unlimited practice winter sports, for fun and relaxation.

  • The winter resort of 2,430 to 3,333 masl, consists of two interconnected villages, each one with hotels and shelters. Next to La Parva and Valle Nevado, form the largest and best ski area in South America. El Colorado Ski Center due of its proximity to Santiago features, service offerings, convenience, and tracks for all types of practices, has become the ideal center for the white sport by the family and youth during each winter season.

    In the way to the mountains we will be stopping in many different interesting spot to appreciate the nature from the altitude.  And if we are lucky we possible we will be watching the majectic Fly of the great Sound American Condor Birds.

    And then in the way back we could stop in a delicious local chilean style restaurant located at the feed of Andes Mountains.

Wine routes

  • 2-3 wineries. It located 50 minutes away of South east of Stgo.

    Following the current of Maipo River and joining with the Metropolitan Region we find one of the most traditional viticultural zone of the country and where it were founded the first vineyards.

    Its natural limits are, by the east, Andes Mountain, and by the west, Coastal Mountains; it has a natural decline from east, 1000 mts Above Sea Level (3,281 fasl) descending to west, 500 m asl(1,640 fasl)

    Actually the total surface of vine cultivated is about 2,700 hectares, 1,500 h for red wine grapes and 1,200 h for white wine grapes.

    It was in this valley, where it was discovered at beginning of the 1990’s, the famous grape, “CARMENERE”, that, actually, it is cultivated only in Chile in an industrial way. Many enologists believed it extinguished since the years 1800’s.

    This characteristic makes this valley good to produce white wine, specially … Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Gewurztraminer and It’s still possible to develop new options as Pinot Noir, the White Red Wine.

  • 2-3 wineries. The Aconcagua Valley, 120km (74 ml) north of Santiago, has a Mediterranean climate with warm summers that are cooled by breezes of the Pacific Ocean and its cold Humboldt Current. Average high temperatures in the period of January-March is 30°c (87°f) while the average low is 9°c (48°f) with thermal oscillation of 21°c(71°f).

    The valley is characterized by a long growing season allowing for late ripening of the fruit which enhances the flavors, intensity and concentration of our wines.

  • 2-3 wineries. Corresponds to one of the youngest wine valleys of the country. The vineyards come in 1997 and in less than a decade, created four vineyards, which have given this area its own identity as a producer of premium wines.

    San Antonio’s landscape is characterized by numerous hills and slopes with granite and clay soils of the Cordillera de la Costa, sectors that are head-cold winds from the Pacific. This exposes the wine to strong ocean breezes produce small clusters require that mature slowly, but with higher concentrations of flavor and aroma. These conditions are very favorable for stocks like Sauvignon Blanc, which is expressed by a character in the area, developing a great freshness.

    Temperate conditions during the spring and summer are perfect for producing Chardonnay. Have also introduced other varieties such as Syrah, obtaining excellent results.

  • It extends from the city of San Fernando in the north to the south of Chimbarongo. It is the valley cradle of the chilean peasant traditions, where it is common to find the classic “Huaso” (Cowboy) wearing a poncho and chupalla (hat), and riding a horse.

    Its singular geography marked by two major mountain ranges that extend from the Andes to the sea, forming an ideal corridor for winds coming from the mountains and the sea. These regulate the temperatures in the valley.

    The vineyards are located mainly around the city of San Fernando and then to the coast, located at the valley, these soils are considered the most fertile and where it feels hotter. In recent years there have been planting in the foothills of mountain ranges, after searching more conducive soil.

    Red wines are the best of the center are of the country. Their grapes are irrigated by the river Tinguiririca, which crosses the valley from east to west, and the ripening of fruits is regulated by the sea winds from the west.

    The Coastal Range is no more than 500 meters high and the horizon is perceived as a series of rolling hills. La Cordillera de Los Andes, meanwhile, is steep to 4500 meters, serving as a barrier that contains the sea breeze, which finally remained in circulation.
    The first farms in the area were built in the seventeenth century, principally engaged in farming and ranching. And in the nineteenth century made their first appearance vines, building the perfect balance of sun and rain.
    The valley is about 29 kilometers from north to south and has 16,848 hectares of crops, which have been distributed in more than 20 wineries, producing over 10 million liters annually.
    This concentration of vineyards for creating the first wine route, in a joint initiative between the major wineries in the region.
    Since that time, the area became a tourist magnet, which promoted the creation of the Wine Train and a hiking trail in Viña Montes.

    Concón has a population of apprx. 33,000 people. Known as “Gastronomic City”, it has a variety of restaurants in most of sea food and “empandas” (You must to try them).  It is also known for its quiet and small beaches.  You could enjoy the view of rocky coast for along its coast where you can see sea lions and birds of all species and a refreshing sea breeze. It also has beautiful dunes declared a Natural Sanctuary where you can practice skiing in the dunes.

  • MAINTENCILLO – CACHAGUA – ZAPALLAR. 1.600 inhabitants. It is located 70 kms from from Viña del Mar, its coasts a mixture atmosphere provided by its forests of pine and eucalyptus, with a heavenly place ideal to choose a vacation destination thanks to its narrow beaches, a waterfront ideal for sports like cycling, jogging, surfing, body boarding, parasailing, golf located in the most exclusive resort area.

    Their homes are at the feet of a sandy cliff that reaches the sea, full of rocks, interspersed with small beaches and quiet ocean water ponds. Near the sea and surrounded by holidays homes is a beautiful coastline almost at water level only along its own coasts.

    Cachagua‘s beach is the largest of the area; it’s flat and powder sand, which enables to play pallets, volleyball, horseback riding and fútbol (soccer). It also has one of the best places in the central coast where you can surf.
    Preferred destination for wealthy families to buy and build up homes and condos all exclusive with a oceanfront. The place has tennis and golf courts.
    Chachagua faces “The Island of Penguins” declared a Natural Monument, which hosts the colony of” Humboldt Penguins” of 2000 examples.

    16,500 inhabitants. Zapallar is a small inlet in the form of a shell, rounded up with steep hills which create a microclimate. Here, it stands a beautiful beach, surrounded by flowers and with a careful development of large trees and beautiful summer homes, which makes it the most elite and privileged of the central coast.  In General, there is no wind and annual temperatures don’t vary too much.
